Here we are. Classes at the Da Vinci high school in Rome are about to resume. After the summer in Scotland, Dante Balestra (Alessandro Gassmann) and his son Simone (Nicolas Maupas) are ready for a new beginning. After being admitted to hospital, the teacher returns to his desk to ferry the 5th B students to their final exams. Simone can’t get Mimmo out of his headwho cannot see or hear because he is placed in a protection program.
Anita (Claudia Pandolfi), Manuel (Damiano Gavino) and Viola (Alice Lupparelli) move to a new house. There’s some news in high school: a new principal arrives, a certain Irene (Nicole Grimaudo), that Dante had already met a few days earlier in the gym. A meeting that the two will not easily forget.
Among the new teachers, Leone Rocci appears in class (Dante Aita), physics professor, former student of Dante, handsome, severe, and with methods very different from those of Balestra. The two seem to be hiding a secret. Anita also joins the teaching staff: the English teacher is pregnant, and Dante’s ex is called to replace her, very excited on the first day of school.

Claudia Pandolfi is Anita, who will sit behind the Da Vinci chair this season. Many of the series’ beloved characters return: from Simone to Manuel, from Viola to classmates Luna and Laura. But there are several new entries. The charming and severe physics professor Leone Rocci is played by Dante Aitawhile the new principal Irene by Nicole Grimaudo.
Greta (Giulia Fazzini), Irene’s daughter, appears among the new pupils of the 5th B class. a girl with self-punishing tendencies, who seeks confrontation with anyone, even his mother. Instead, a friendship is born between her and Simone. There is also Zeno (Filippo Brogi), a boy who has never studied at school because parents distrust the school system. At 18, however, he decided to change course and prepare for his high school diploma in a real classroom.

Alessandro Gassmann is Professor Dante againmuch loved by the Rai 1 audience. «From season to season Balestra has matured, just like his students, and perhaps he is starting to understand his limits. He becomes more fragile, more interested in the life of students and in his personal life – declared the actor – Dante is never the same, and this is why I find him stimulating».
