A professor 2: previews of the second episode
Floriana (Christiane Filangeri) returns from Glasgow to Rome, to the villa where he raised Simone (Nicolas Maupas) and the twin Jacob (unfortunately disappeared). Dante’s ex (Alessandro Gassmann) will make you jealous Anita (Claudia Pandolfi), the professor’s new partner, who temporarily moved into the Balestra house with her son Manuel (Damiano Gavinoalso protagonist of New Olympus Of Ferzan Ozpetek).

Manuel is more and more taken by Nina (Margherita Artesti, Viola in We are legend), a new entry in the second season and Dante’s class. She is a girl of Polish origin who brings with her a complicated past. Manuel and the audience will discover something about Nina in this episode.
Dante’s health and the concept of beauty
Simone’s suspension is one of the problems that worries Dante and Floriana. But there’s more. After donating blood, Dante learns that his tests are out of order. Urged by a doctor friend, he will undergo precautionary investigations.
In these two episodes, the philosophy professor focuses on the concept of existence for Heidegger and beauty for Hume: «What is beauty? – asked David Hume – beauty is not in things, but in the eyes of those who look at them. It is the gaze of the other that makes it so and we are the harshest judges towards ourselves.” It is an important concept especially for two students in the class: Moon and Viola.
