An oasis close to Andalusia

Summer has arrived and we all long to enjoy free time in contact with nature. Fortunately, you don’t have to go far to find wonderful places, since Spain has innumerable fascinating corners.

One of them is found in the charming Murcian town of Bullas: the impressive Salto de Usero. This natural area is made up of waterfalls and pools of dazzling turquoise water, capable of captivating any visitor. Diving into its crystalline waters becomes the perfect refuge to escape the characteristic heat of this season.

Bullas, in addition to being known for its colorful old town, is home to monuments that are worth visiting. The Church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, declared a National Monument in 1982, and the emblematic Clock Tower are just a few examples.. It is also interesting to discover the Casa de los Melgares, which currently houses the House of Culture.

Between Murcia and Caravaca de la Cruz stretches the Vía Verde del Nordeste, a 78-kilometre natural route that follows the old railway line. This route offers the opportunity to cross impressive bridges and tunnels, providing a unique experience for lovers of nature and hiking.

The Salto de Usero, located in the bed of the Mula river, a short distance from the historic center of Bullas, is a true natural treasure. The erosion of water on the sandstone has shaped a fascinating landscape, with waterfalls and pools that surprise with their beauty.. The Vaera pool stands out, the largest and most beautiful of all. Although bathing is allowed, jumping from the ledges and rocks in the area is prohibited to ensure the safety of visitors.
