Pelicans’ dark autumn began to turn to the side of victory on Tuesday of last week, when they claimed a 5-1 crushing victory over Red Bull Salzburg in the CHL.

Even the long list of injured people hasn’t slowed down the progress of the Lahti people: Lukko and HPK fell in the league over the weekend, and the winning streak continued on Tuesday night at the expense of the underperforming Jukurie.

The first set was strongly Pelicans-branded, and Patrik Carlsson scored a deserved opening goal for the visitors.

Pass served Ryan Lasch extended his scoring streak to seven games and topped the league’s assist statistics. The American, who is credited with his opening goal of the season, has not yet managed to score, but 15 assists is enough instead of sixth in the points market.

Jukurien onetimer-cannon Niko Huuhtanen equalized with a power play in the second period, but the 19-year-old Czech striker Adam Bareš took the Lahti team back to the lead with the first league goal of his career.

Defender in the final Michal Jordan increased the visitors’ lead to two goals. When the Pelicans goaltender Jussi Olkinuora was no longer surprising, Jukurit already suffered the sixth loss in the last seven games.

Lars Bryggman seal the numbers in blanks at the end.

The Pelicans said goodbye to the second-to-last, 14th place in the standings and joined the Jukurs in the extremely even lower middle class, where no less than six teams are tied for positions 8–13. In addition to Pelicans and Jukurs, the team includes Sport, HPK, JYP and TPS.
