Finland versus Canadian megastars. It has advance coverage of Friday night’s semi-final match.

Iltalehti’s expert Pekka Virta believes that Finland will still find new things to add to its game.

– Let’s understand that the Canadian team is really strong with superstars and in this case the so-called pre-favourite. But a hockey game can be won in so many ways, as we have seen in these games. A single game always gives a chance and I do believe in the Finnish team.

Canada’s team has many world-class players, including Edmonton Oilers’ Connor McDavid and Colorado Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon.

Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins got a concussion in the last game and the man’s health is a mystery.

– I have said all along that there are even more good things to be found in Finland and there is an opportunity to improve starting from superiority and goal scoring efficiency. The changes that were seen in the last game gave new information to the coaching. It’s a great opportunity again, that’s how I see it, Virta, who coached Rauma Luko to the Finnish champion in the spring of 2021, thinks.

– Once again, the game will shock in some way and you have to be able to react to it.
