Reetta Hurske clocked her best time of the season in the 60-meter hurdles in Madrid.
Hurske ran 7.99 and finished fifth in the race. He wrestled for the same time in the preliminaries as well.
The fastest in the final was from the Bahamas Devynne Charlton, who stopped the clocks at a downright blood-stopping time of 7.68. It is only a hundredth of the world record in his own name.
Nooralotta Neziri also had the season’s best speed in the 60-meter hurdles in Berlin.
Neziri ran 8.05 and took second place. Hungary won Greta Kerekes at 8.01.
Former coach of Suomalaisaitur Jussi Ihamäki reported in Xthat the top two’s hands seemed to collide unluckily at the third fence.
The 31-year-old Neziri’s previous best of the season was 8.06, which he ran a month ago in France. He sat out the same time in the preliminaries in Berlin as well. The woman’s record score is 7.91.
Elmo Lakka was fourth in the men’s 60-meter hurdles in Berlin with a time of 7.67.
Ella Junnila competed in Madrid on Friday. He jumped to second place in the height competition with a result of 189. Slovenian Lia Apostolovski took the win with the same result, but with a better protocol.
