Nain Jasmin Kähärä, Krista Pärmäkoski and Johanna Matintalo commented on their performances on Tuesday. Kähärä got cold during the race.
Cross-country skier Jasmin Kähärä it was cold after Tuesday’s 20 km free time trial in Toblach.
– During the competition, it got quite cold coming down. The temperature dropped during the race. Maybe it wasn’t on enough, Kähärä announced.
It is not very common for a professional skier to get cold during a performance.
– Maybe he doesn’t have experience in this kind of skiing, when half of the journey is a gentle downhill, says Iltalehti’s skiing expert Reijo Jylhä.
– It could be that he is more sensitive to the cold or that he has not been able to produce sufficient movement downhill. Hardly any competitive skier in that weather wears short underwear or other textiles under the competition outfit, the man who steered the national team for 9 years adds.

– Couldn’t find what was needed. It didn’t feel like skiing a race. Couldn’t get to the acids and as strong as it should have been, said the woman from Vuokatti Ski Team Kainuu.
The Finn bowed to the winner of the race For Astrid Slind a good three minutes.
– When there were no recovery sections for the 10 km uphill section and it was the same work, it felt strange. On the way down, it was really nice to join the group and be pulled by the tide.
As with lakes
Krista Pärmäkoski enjoyed the silence of Toblach. Jussi Saarinen
Krista Pärmäkoski was eleventh (+1.07,2).
– I think I had a good skiing. We could ski more often than these. You could be with your own thoughts, and there was no audience. There was so much forest and bends that you couldn’t really see anyone else, commented Pärmäkoski.
He beat the winner by 1:07.2.
– Johanna Matintalo I caught up before 5 kilometers before the finish line. Otherwise, I skied all by myself. It’s very useful that you got a fart. It helps when you can give some feedback.
The competition was held on a special course, where you went 10 kilometers uphill and then came 10 kilometers downhill.
– It’s like a sleigh ride in Ostrobothnia, the woman from Kuortanene said.
Matintalo was 24th (+2.07.2).
– I have experienced something like that. There’s no point in trying to screw it up. Like today. I even feared a little worse. Quite satisfied, Matintalo said.
