Operating as a defender Lassi Thomson continues his NHL career with the Anaheim Ducks.

Thomson’s former club, the Ottawa Senators, placed the Finn on the transfer list with the intention of sending him to the AHL.

However, the Ducks took Thomson off the roster for themselves. Anaheim collected the fewest points in the NHL last season and was the first to pick up Thomson.

23-year-old Thomson has played 18 NHL games in his career. Last season there were two of them.

The Ilves coach has 135 AHL matches under his belt, with 18+54=72 power points. Last season, Thomson scored 7+26=33 power points in 56 regular season games.
