Singer Björk encourages Greenland to become independent. Björk published the writing on her Instagram account.

– I wish all Greenlanders a blessing in their fight for independence, the singer begins his writing.
– Colonialism has repeatedly caused horror, and the possibility that the Greenlanders might pass from one cruel colonialist to another is too cruel to even imagine.
Greenland is a self-governing part of Denmark. There has been concern about the future of the region, as US President Donald Trump has mentioned many times that he wants Greenland to be part of the United States.
– We need Greenland from the point of view of national security. It is strategically significant, Trump recently told reporters.
The United States attacked Venezuela on January 3, which is why the fate of Greenland is also on the back burner.
Singer Björk wants to show her sympathy for the Greenlanders. He brings up Iceland’s history.
– Icelanders are extremely relieved that they managed to break away from the Danes in 1944. We didn’t lose our language (otherwise my children would be speaking Danish now).
– Dear Greenlanders, declare independence! Björk urges.
SVT reported on Tuesday that the Danish Foreign Affairs Committee has been invited to a crisis meeting.
Björk is one of the most successful Icelandic singers. His self-titled album came out in 1977. His most famous songs are Hyperballad, It’s Oh So Quiet and Army Of Me. Last year, the artist turned 60 years old.
