Gérard Depardieu currently has to comment on allegations of sexual coercion. The accusations against the French actor stated that he had attacked two employees in 2021 on the set of Jean Becker’s film “The Green Shutter” on the breasts and on the buttocks and generally behaved verbally vulgar. Depardieu advocated innocent, admitting the use of inappropriate formulations towards women.
The pronouncement of judgment still takes
The process of the complaints of the film outfitter and the third director’s assistant ended on Thursday, March 27th, after four days of hearing. For this, the public prosecutor’s office in Paris submitted its demand: Gérard Depardieu should receive 18 months of probation. In addition, a fine of 20,000 euros is requested for him. Furthermore, he should go into psychological treatment and be placed on the list of sex offenders: inside in France.
As a reason, it was said that the plaintiffs also stood in court on their statements, but depardieu had deviated from his actual announcement and after he had contested everything, the verbal misconduct admitted.
It is not yet possible to say whether this will be investigated. The final verdict could drag on – for months.
Depardieu for the first time in court
The mime had to answer for the first time for the procedure. In total, there should be more than 20 accusations in relation to inappropriate behavior and sexual abuse. So it could be that Gérard Depardieu will soon have to enter a courtroom again. There is probably a corresponding application because of the complaint by actress Charlotte Arnoild, who claims that he raped it in 2018. The 76-year-old shows the allegations as untrue.
