Legen for 20 years, the sisters Sierra and Bianca Casady work on themselves. On her eighth studio album, a lot succeeds in this direction, but you have the feeling that you have heard the whole thing in the same way or at least similarly. Rattling dishes are used percussively, toy keyboards played with great seriousness and poured childish singing over almost every track.
Only in “Paper Boat” does it go down with the voice, which, well, unfortunately has a totally relaxing effect. If Björk was able to free her child’s voice from the pure sugariness in the course of her career, the Casady sister does not succeed, the infantile is perhaps simply too strong as a means. In “Girl in Town” it is rapped, which is fun, “Unbroken” is a little encouragement at the end. The sisters allegedly absorb their songs in a kind of wall cabinet that they have converted into a studio. It would be nice if you soon left it to face the real problems of the big wide world.
