LVMH has a new boss for his watch division.

Jean-Christophe Babin is the new CEO of LVMH Watches, the French luxury goods group said on Friday. He succeeds Frédéric Arnault, who was recently appointed CEO by Loro Piana, and will take on his new role on April 1st.

In addition to his new task, Babin will continue to work as the managing director of Bulgari. In both positions, he reports directly to LVMH Group Managing Director Stéphane Bianchi, while Julien Tornare (CEO Hublot), Antoine Pin (CEO Tag Heuer) and Benoît de Clerck (CEO Zenith) report to him.

Babin will continue the strategies initiated by Arnault to further develop and position the brands Hublot, Tag Heuer and Zenith.

“Under the direction of Frédéric Arnault, the watch division has made a significant change, including the implementation of operational synergies between the clock manufacturers of the group and the intensive work on the positioning and the challenges of each individual,” said Bianchi. “I thank Frédéric and I am pleased that this dynamic will continue with the appointment of Jean-Christophe, which will put his entrepreneurial spirit, energy and unusual leadership qualities in the service of the sustainable and ambitious growth of division.”

Babin has been working for LVMH since 2000. First, he took over the position of the CEO on Tag Heuer, which he held for twelve years. In spring 2013 he finally switched to Bulgari.
