Antti Aalto was 16 in the World Ski Jumping World Cup in Planica, Slovenia.
Aalto jumped in the legendary Airmäki 206.5 and 219 meters. The investment improved in the second round by five notches.
– The first jump didn’t go as well as I would have liked, but the second jump was a much cleaner performance. It’s a good feeling from another jump, so we will continue towards the next few days, Aalto said in a news release from the Ski Association.
The competition was won by the favorite of the home audience Domen prevc. His jumps carried 234.5 and 237.5 meters. Slovenian joy was complemented by second place Anze Lanisek. Third was Ryoyu kobayashi.
Daniel Tschofenig was fourth. The investment secured him the winner of the World Cup overall. This is the first number of 23-year-old Austrian career in the top of the sport this season. He secured his victory on his birthday.
The second Finnish representative of the competition was Eetu Nousiainen. His 193.5 meter jump was not enough for the second round. The ranking was 39th.
