Germany: – losses – After a weak Wednesday, the DAX threatens further losses. The broker IG estimates the German leading index on Thursday two and a half hours before the XETRA start a good 0.7 percent lower to 22,671 points. US President Donald Trump announced Zölle of 25 percent of all auto imports and thus tightened the trade dispute with the European Union. The tariffs apply to all imported cars – from small cars to limousines and SUVs to light commercial vehicles. The import customs are also due for central auto parts. The high tariffs should come into force on April 3. Barclays now classified BMW on “Underweight”.

USA: – Caution shapes what happened – caution has returned to the US stock market. Above all, the US exchange NASDAQ, which is predominantly equipped with technology values, made profits from the past trading days on Wednesday. Here, in particular, the strong price losses of the so-called “glorious seven”, the seven largest and most significant tech values, hit the account. The best known Wall Street index Dow Jones Industrial was also grasped by the negative mood of the technology industry and, after initial moderate profits, easily closed in the loss zone. The Dow Jones Industrial ultimately lost 0.31 percent to 42,454.79 points.

Asia: – inconsistent – The most important stock markets in Asia did not take a uniform direction on Thursday. US President Donald Trump had announced tariffs of 25 percent on all auto imports the evening before and thus tightened the trade dispute. This also stressed the mood in Asia. In Japan, the leading index Nikkei-225 (Nikkei 225) dropped by 0.9 percent shortly before the end of the trade. The Hang Seng in Hong Kong, on the other hand, rose by 0.9 percent and the CSI 300 with the most important Chinese mainland shares recently increased by 0.3 percent.
