Barbor exchanges classic rain boots for crocs.

The traditional British company and the US shoe brand bring together a collection inspired by Outerwear on the market, the collaboration partners said on Wednesday.

“Since the focus of both brands is the focus and the love of free nature, this playful new cooperation is an entertaining way to celebrate this common basis,” says Ian Bergin, director of Barbor Menswear, about the unusual collaboration.

However, the unexpected cooperation at first glance is based on a mutual understanding of function, the statement says. Barbour was founded in 1894 as a brand for protective outer clothing for local seafarers, sailors and fishermen in the northeast of England, while Crocs were built in Colorado as a boat shoe brand more than a century later. Now the Barbour X Crocs collaboration combines the legacy of both brands.

The Oversized Bedale Wax Jacket, inspired by Dame Margaret Barbours Originaldesign from 1980, captivates with its box-shaped fit made of waxed cotton, a classic cord collar, tartan bags and a waterproof hood. The iconic Crocs Classic Clog receives a barbour makeover with a waxed cotton trim, tartan print and belt detail, while the short Wellington boat with barbour-like and personalizable Jibbitz supporters is ideal for wet weather. The collection is supplemented by a selection of nine vintage-inspired Jibbitz charms made of metal and PVC, which are based on the barbour archive and enable an individual design.

The Barbour X Crocs collaboration will be available from March 27, 2025.
