Robbie Williams was in the talk show of Eva Jinek last night to advertise unabashedly for his stadium concerts in Amsterdam. Why is ticket sales disappointing?
There was a time when it impressed: a world star on Dutch television. But in these times of social media and continuous visibility on Instagram, that makes no impression at all. In fact: it often simply produces boring television, including Robbie Williams last night. His performance at Eva Jinek was primarily a PR talk.
Robbie advertises
Robbie gives Eva Ensure that he is only there to sell tickets. “I want to advertise for the second evening of my show. It is not doing so well. That is the reason I am here. The 22nd was sold out in one morning! One morning! The 23rd, come! You don’t want to see the monkey cry!”
Eva on that: “Radical Honesty. “
Robbie: “Radical Honesty, yes. “
Why not sold out?
Why doesn’t Robbie’s second concert in the Amsterdam Arena be sold out? What do people say? “I think the sound in the Arna is really dredging, so I no longer buy tickets for any concert that is being held there,” says Jacqueline on the Facebook-page of RTL Boulevard.
Esther complains about the same thing: “Previous concert seen in the Ziggo Dome. Was very good and fun! Unfortunately I find the concerts in the Arena a drama in terms of sound and therefore also a waste of my money.”
300 euros
According to Ilona, Robbie is simply not special enough for such large concerts. “Well Robbie, everyone has seen you once and when you have to pay 300 euros for two cards … I prefer to do the shopping five times.”
Deborah: “I have been there from the start, but that Arena is terrible. I am not going there anymore, not for him anymore. Tickets are also getting more and more expensive, so making choices and Arena is really falling off.”
Top concert
Amy also thinks it is mainly because of the location. “Is him in the location. Ziggo was so sold out … and was really a top concert.”
Marije: “Had a great way wanted, but those prices. 😱”
And Joyce: “Arena has terribly bad sound … And the prices of the cards is not much better !! 🤦 ens♀️🤦lands” ”
What does Tina think?
What does Tina Nijkamp think that Robbie uses our public broadcaster so showy to generate income? “Yes, it was indirect advertising indeed, it will be striking if this is allowed. He really called for buying, I don’t think that’s allowed,” she writes on her analysis canal.
Almost 1.1 million people watched Eva, but Tina couldn’t appeal. “It was boring. Robbie Williams again. Have the idea that he is in the Netherlands every month.”
