Yves Berendse has so far been welcomed everywhere as the celebrated new singer of the Dutch national anthem, but Johan Derksen is not a fan of that boy. “It’s such a kid.”

With his hits in the mood for you and back in time, the 31-year-old Yves Berendse really broke through completely in our country. There is no escaping anymore. He mainly gets a lot of positive publicity, but last summer he was suddenly attacked by VI-prominent Valentijn Driessen. “What a sliding that is!” He cried on television.

“Such a kid!”

And now Yves is again the Sjaak, and again at the SBS 6 talk show table. Johan Derksen appears to be no fan of the singer at all. “I think that Berendse is like kid. That Berendse! That head of that Berendse! I can’t think about it! And those songs from that man … and then that hysterical father!” He shouts in Today Inside.

They are really a terrible kind of people, says Johan. “Oh well, what a horror that Berendse! When I see that head, I will already switch on.”

Nice guy

Wilfred Genee does not agree. “I really don’t think that is a nice guy. Really a nice guy.”

Valentine is also sitting at the table and stays in his opinion: “I said exactly the same about that boy and he is completely gone through the map. He really can’t sleep and his father is not.”

Cash

By the way, Yves cashes like a silly now that he is so famous. “Last year I did about 400 performances. I wanted that myself, because with my single back in time I had such a big hit that you had to grab the moment. That worked. But I also realized that I don’t want to perform so much this year,” he says in the Story.

Now he performs four to five times a week. “I do that to prevent me from getting a burnout. I have seen that happen around me and that is why I am already putting it on the brakes.”
