The control room of the fire brigade and the environmental service received several reports of odor nuisance on Monday evening from, among others, Central and West Brabant. The scent can also be smelled on Tuesday morning. The scent is reminiscent of camping gas.
Probably the nuisance came from the sea, given the wind direction. An inspection aircraft investigated whether one of the tankers was ventilating tanks.
The Safety Region expects to be able to provide more clarity about this on Tuesday morning.
