Market value 8 million euros
Another foreign player has left the Russian Premier League in the form of Brazilian centre-back Pablo. The 30-year-old is moving permanently to his hometown of Flamengo Rio de Janeiro, as the club in the capital announced on Monday. With a market value of 8 million euros, Pablo was one of the most valuable international players in Russia’s upper house. According to information from Transfermarkt, both clubs have agreed on a fee of between 2.5 million and 3 million euros. However, this editorial team does not know how the payment is made.
Lokomotiv signed the defender from Girondins Bordeaux in January 2021 and he has been a permanent fixture ever since. To return to his homeland, where Pablo has played for Gremio Porto Alegre and AA Ponte Preta, among others, he missed the interim transfer window allowed by FIFA for players in Russia and Ukraine due to the Russian invasion. Brazilian clubs can still be active on the transfer market until April 12th.
