Heavy fire in forests near the Klinge under control: "We extinguish long after to prevent re -flaring in soil"

A heavy fire destroyed about 22,000 square meters of forest on Sunday afternoon in the Dutch Clingse forests on the border with the East Flemish De Klinge. Both forces from the Netherlands and from the Waasland attacked fire. Nothing is clear about the cause of the fire for the time being. “We continue to follow because the chance of re -flaring is high,” said Mayor Koen Daniëls.
