A large part of the House of Representatives, including coalition party BBB, wants to delete the controversial Dutch CO2 levy for the industry. VVD minister Sophie Hermans (climate and green growth) does not – just like her party – do not give a hom or calf to the dismay of MPs about this plan. That while the industry is the alarm bell and hundreds of people are losing their jobs now that four industrial companies have recently indicated that they close their doors due to high Dutch taxes and power rates.
