Dries Roelvink thinks that the metamorphosis of RTL’s late talk show is a great time to look Marc-Marie Huijbregts out. “He is by far the worst sidekick in the Netherlands,” he sniffs.

There is an incredible amount to change on the late evening of RTL 4. The talk shows Beau, Humberto and Renze are all going on in RTL Tonight, there will be a new producer and it will all look much more alike. Beau van Erven Dorens now distinguishes itself with Marc-Marie Huijbregts as a regular sidekick, but that also seems to change.

Worst sidekick

Dries Roelvink thinks that is very good news. “I think Marc-Marie is by far the worst sidekick in the Netherlands,” he says this week briefly but powerfully in the prominent panel of the Story.

And the folk singer is not alone. Rob Goossens on X: “Marc-Marie Huijbregts is the Forrest Gump of our time to be. He was there when it went wrong at DWDD, and he now seems to have been the nail on the coffin of RTL Late Night ‘old style’. He came, RTL Late Night.

‘So nice and crazy’

Rens Muller, editorial chief of the Gooi- en Eemlander, does not understand what Beau sees in Marc-Marie. “Never understood his ‘added value’, he says on X.

Story boss Guido den Attrekker agrees. “I am guessing ‘so nice and crazy’. It draws the creative poverty in TV country.”

Peak chick

They will not be sorry about it today either. “Spring chicken stays?”, Johan Derksen wonders in the broadcast from yesterday.

Wilfred Genee: “Stays beep or not?”

Krukgast Tina Nijkamp: “That is not yet known.”

Albert Verlinde does not think so, because, he says: “RTL was certainly not happy with the program in the past year. I heard that from RTL circles.”

Ah, there we have the talk show sources of Albert again. Hopefully he has a new spy after his Jeroen Pauw-Blunder.
