The top game of the handball Bundesliga women between the Thuringian HC and HB Ludwigsburg was overshadowed by a stinking finger clate.

The leader HB Ludwigsburg prevailed in a gripping top game at the table runners -up Thuringian HC with 23:22. The heated mood caused unrest even after the game.

When the Ludwigsburg national player Xenia Smits was asked for an interview in the hall at a press conference, the back player was loudly booed by the THC fans.

After the interview has already ended, Smits took the microphone again and addressed the hosts’ followers.

“You are great fans for the THC, creates an outstanding atmosphere. It is always difficult to play here. But we expect a little respect and no stink fingers. That should be the case in sports,” said the 30-year-old.

What happened? The Thuringian audience was so applied because it was anything but satisfied with the referee performance by Steven Heine and Sascha Standke.

THC trainer in Rage

THC coach Herbert Müller also rumbled against the impartial after the game: “We deserved a point here. But we were not left. It was seven for 60 minutes around nine!”

The coach also stuck against the competitor. “I think we played a great game today. And not enough that the 50,000 times more money and then they still get all the support of this world. Constantly and from all sides,” said the 62-year-old.

Even as indoor spokesman Wolfgang Zilling tried to calm Müller, the coach continued: “And then you have to say the truth! You can’t always be silent! I wish Ludwigsburg all the best – or what they are called.”

Background: HB Ludwigsburg started as SG BBM Bietigheim before the current season.
