A ping -pong ball in one of the cups of the opponents, it seems like a piece of cake. The goal is to play away as many cups as possible and therefore let the opponent drink all those cups: “I can’t aim so well, but I don’t think you should focus on the cup and you should just do. That is the easiest to throw,” it says with one of the participants.

No cafe sport

A West-Flemish Championship, Belgian Championship and even World Cup, then you can no longer speak of a café sport: “Our ambition is to go to the World Cup via the BK, Let’s go!“, Sebastien Maes is enthusiastic.

The BK later this year takes place in Lichtervelde, a home match for the West-Flemish champions. The winners in Lichtervelde last year already signed in Hooglede: “We actually don’t practice that much, frankly. If we get the chance, we sometimes play a game, but not to say that we stand behind those tables. We don’t have the opportunity,” says Yakari Pycavet.

Yakari and his partner Nelis will certainly not be West-Flemish champion. This year, that honor is reserved for Wout Decoster and Wout Debruyne.
