After two defeats and the victory of RWDM it was Van Zulte Waregem on the field of Francs Borains. Top scorer Vossen returned from injury, but started on the couch. His replacement in the point of Tobias Hedl wanted to prove himself again as a worthy competitor and opened the score on the instructions of Rommens in the first half.
Before that, Zulte Waregem already had some good chances through Hedl and Erenbjerg. Barely four minutes after the 0-1 it became 0-2 after Gillekens’ own goal. A minute later, Gavriel worked the leather against the post. We rested with 0-2.
In the slipstream of the leader
In the second half, the lead of West-Flemings never joined. Fifteen minutes before time, Erenbjerg decided to outwit the match by Borains goalkeeper Gies with a pretty long shot, 0-3.
Francs Borains still scored on free kick, but you don’t have to remember much more from the second half. Essevee is again fully involved in the title fight. Next week the RSCA Futures will visit, followed by games against Seraing and Lokeren. On the final match day, Zulte Waregem receives the leader RWDM, then does the decision in the title fight?
