Indonesia has the requirement that smartphones sold in the country must consist of at least 40 percent of locally produced parts. Since Apple did not meet this requirement, Indonesia had banned the sale of the iPhone 16 last year.
However, Apple recently received certificates for eleven telephone models and nine tablets because the company had met the requirements, said Ministry spokesman Febri Hendri Hendri Arief, according to Reuters.
