Marianne Faithfull died on January 30th at the age of 78. Now a posthumous EP has been announced for April 12th. “Burning Moonlight” is the name of the project, should include four songs and are initially available as a vinyl in a limited edition. New music with memories of the past

After completing the project, Marianne Faithfull probably said: “It is a good time to look back. It helps me to remember all the things I did. I cannot say that I am a particularly nostalgic person, but I enjoy this time of reflection. ”

The EP was produced alongside Andrew Batt by Rob Ellis, Oscar Dunbar and Head. The latter already worked with Faithfull on her album “Before The Poison” in 2004. “I am so happy that we found a time when Marianne felt able to write and sing,” he said according to “uncut”. “When she asked me to produce these songs, we were all aware that her health had made things difficult, but in true Marianne manner she held out, and I think we were able to take a new direction again-something that she always tried during her long career.”
