In ski jumping, the manipulation scandal of the Norwegians continues to interact. Now there are again consequences in the Scandinavian team.
Ski jumping trainers, assistant and service technicians are already suspended, but not yet enough. There are further changes in the Norwegian Ski Association (NSF). The chair of the ski jumping committee, Stine Korsen, has resigned. She informed her decision on Thursday of the “VG” newspaper.
“I love this sport, but now it is no longer possible. I am tired. I can’t clean up all the shards again,” said Korsen. The focus is currently on the ski jumping committee after Norway had been caught at the World Cup when manipulating the suits.
On Wednesday, the World Association FIS decided that Marius Lindvik and Johann André Forfang will be blocked for the RAW-Air competitions this week because of the incidents. On Thursday, three more jumpers were suspended (more about this read here).
Korsen: “I have always been someone who takes responsibility by facing in difficult situations. But now I’m thinking for the first time, enough is enough. Now I’m taking responsibility and going.”
NSF President Tove Moe Dyrhaug is also under pressure, which has so far decided against resignation.
