Making buildings and changing rooms more sustainable, new slides and hand dryers in the toilets. Seven sports clubs in the municipality of Emmen have received money to do things up.
With a budget of 250,000 euros, seven applications were approved by the municipality of Emmen. Among the lucky ones, among others, sports club Angelslo, who can repair the leaking roofs in the changing rooms with the money. With the money, the outdoor swimming pools in Emmer-Compascuum and Nieuw-Weerdinge could make the slide and the competition bath renovation and soft and baseball club Bedrocks from Emmen want to make the canteen more energy efficient with the money.
The money goes to the sports clubs in two ways. The 1/3 scheme consists of three parts: a part of a subsidy, a part lends the applicant from the municipality and a part contributes to the applicant himself. In addition, sports clubs can use the bottleneck pot, which is intended for unforeseen maintenance in privatized sports facilities.
With both schemes, the municipality of Emmen wants to ensure good, sustainable and future -proof sports facilities. This leads to more people going to sports and the municipality becomes healthier as a whole.
