Amsterdam – Gold! Joy Beune has conquered gold on the 3000 meters at the World Cup in Hamar. The 25-year-old blonde from Team IKO/X2O clocked a time of 4.00.39 and that was enough for her first world title in the three kilometers. Top favorite Ragne Wiklund was defeated in a direct duel and also in the last ride nobody came to the time of the Dutch. Martina Sablikova surprisingly grabbed the silver and Merel Conijn was pretty third.
