The “Gunners” had already poured seven pieces in the first leg (7: 1), accordingly the really exciting thing did not happen for them in their own game, but in Madrid, where Real and Atletico played about who the opponent will be in the quarter -finals. Arsenals Zinchenko and PSV routine Perisic meet fantastic
Coach Mikel Areta protected some regular players, but did without the perfect rotation, some stars like Declan Rice were in the starting eleven. A player who got a chance immediately used her: Oleksandr Zinchenko was only allowed to start in a competitive game for the fifth time this season, but was already cheering after a few minutes. With a remarkable Schlenzer, the Ukrainian international sank the ball to 1-0 in the long corner (6th).
After that, Arsenal took out all the pace from the game and thus enabled the opponent to equalize. Ivan Perisic closed a remarkable attack, which was also the result of the lack of intensity of the Londoners, with a nice shot in the angle (18th).
Rice brings Arsenal to the lead again, Eindhoven counters again
However, with the fact that Arsenal had the opportunity at any time to hurt the opponent with a little more effort. In the 38th minute one of these moments came again when the runner -up of the Premier League had the urge to put this effort – and promptly Rice converted the strong preparatory work by Raheem Sterling to 2: 1.
Overall, however, the game looked more like a friendly, not like a round of 16 in the premier class. The starting point and the effort to save strength for the upcoming tasks was too one -sided. Arsenal overrun this, however, and so Couhaib Driouech and his lupfer made it 2-2 for the highlight of the game (70th). And because there was no further afterwards, it remained at the end of this result and for a PSV observation success.
