Rival teams no longer look up to superior Slovenians
NICE – The ultimate Tour fight between Primoz Roglic and Tadej Pogacar is waiting. In Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico, the Slovenians of Jumbo-Visma and UAE Team Emirates, respectively, were again superior to the rest of the pack. The other rival teams often only seem to be playing for second place, although a few also see advantages. “We are not bothered by it,” says Trek-Segafredo team leader Steven de Jongh.
