The preliminary application book comprises around 650 pages and consists of eleven chapters. “Among other things, the areas of vision and effect, sustainability, law, stages, security, mobility, logistics and finances are dealt with thematically,” said the DFB. “The UEFA will check the submitted documents in the next few months and then place questions to be clarified with the applicants.

According to the DFB, the women’s European Championship should achieve a recorder proceeds in order to sustainably strengthen women’s football throughout Europe in all areas. “This BID Book underpins our claim to sustainably strengthen women’s football in Europe with the tournament in all areas,” said DFB President Bernd Neuendorf.

Slogan and logo already published

Just in time for the World Women’s Day, the association had already had the motto for application for the tournament with the colorful logo “We’29” on Saturday. “The logo and the slogan are very important elements to make our campaign even more present and tangible. The focus is on the focus,” said DFB President Bernd Neuendorf. The development of women’s football wants to give another thrust throughout Europe by organizing the tournament.

The tournament should not only set “sporty accents”, but also “achieve recorder proceeds” to strengthen women’s football in Europe.

DFB was subject to application for World Cup 2027

The DFB had recently failed with a joint application with the Netherlands and Belgium for the Women’s World Cup 2027, which is held in Brazil. The FIFA Congress in Bangkok voted 119: 78 votes for the application from Brazil in May 2024.

At that time, however, the European application was considered an outsider anyway. Because never before had a WM of women in South America took place, FIFA also gave the Brazilian application a better grade in their pre -published test reports.
