Rachel Hazes receives the final blow from André van Duin. Now that Heel Holland Bakt is back on television, nobody really watches her SBS 6 program Hazes is de Basis.
It’s like waking up crying for Rachel Hazes. Her TV show Hazes is de Basis has collapsed even further in terms of viewing figures. After 487 thousand viewers (8% market share) and 332 thousand viewers (5%), the third episode last night – directly opposite the season premiere of Heel Holland Bakt – only 265 thousand viewers (5%) to SBS 6.
Rachel through the ice
It is obvious: All of Holland Bakt star André van Duin gives Rachel the final blow. “Hazes is the Basis completely sinks through the ice,” says RTL Boulevard reporter Joost Maiburg.
AD media journalist Marcus den Blanken saw it coming a bit last night. Then he tweeted: “Rachel probably no longer looks at Hazes is the base, but this gem by Elske DeWall – who made a truly beautiful version of Lonely Without You – deserves a large audience.”
André takes gold
The whole of Holland Bakt was supreme at prime time. The ninth season started with 2.3 million viewers (42%) on the new broadcast evening, Saturday evening. The previous season started in December 2020, then still on Sunday evening, with almost the same number of viewers: 2.4 million.
The most viewed alternatives to the baking show were Weet Ik Veel with 1.1 million viewers (20%) on RTL 4 and Hidden Past with 471 thousand viewers (8%) on NPO 2. It is only far below that, so Hazes is the Basis, that did not even manage to conquer a spot in the top 25 ratings.
High Trees also flop
SBS 6 managed to conquer a place in the top 25 at half past nine, but with 444,000 viewers (10%) the Jeroen van der Boom show Hoge Bomen was not exactly popular with the viewer. At the same time, three programs managed to captivate more viewers.
The winners at half past nine were Matthijs Goes Door with 1.1 million viewers (26%) on NPO 1, VriendenLoterij Miljonairs with 709 thousand viewers (19%) on RTL 4 and Nieuwsuur with 492 thousand viewers (11%) on NPO 2 .
Viewing figures
Programs that did not reach the top fifteen ratings include Winter Time (474 thousand) and Shownieuws (466 thousand).
