At the end of 2024, Netflix released a six-part documentary series about Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna. His former teammate Alain Prost sees serious mistakes and criticizes large parts of the story with clear words.

Alain Proste’s opinion about the six-part Netflix series “Senna” is clearly canceled. “Bullshit, bullshit, complete bullshit”, the Frenchman raged over the play according to “Motorsport.com”. “Almost everything” was “fully fictionalized”, the four-time Formula 1 champion complained about the documentary, which his relationship with the Brazilian Ayrton Senna describes incorrectly.

“It is obvious that I am not satisfied with it,” said Prost, who is primarily bothered by the fact that there is always a good and evil in this documentation “. His problem: he himself is largely portrayed as a villain.

“I know a bit about the story that is told. Yes, it is a biography and fictionalized. But unfortunately there are also a few repeating stories that are freely invented and just totally wrong,” criticized the former French Formula 1 star, who did not go into detail about details.

Prost and Senna delivered merciless Formula 1 duel

Between 1985 and 1993 Prost had a bitter duel with Senna. The Frenchman became world champion four times in these nine seasons, three times the Brazilian, who died in 1994. In 1988 and 1989 they both drove for the McLaren team. In these two years, the tensions between the two alpha animals increased from races before Prost moved to Ferrari for the 1990 season.

When the duo no longer met races for races on the route, the personal relationship with each other was better. According to Prost, he was most recently friends with his great rival before he died in a tragic accident in 1994 in Imola.
