Chrisse Johansson was awarded at the Emma Gala with special Em.
“This feels great, humble, wonderful,” Chrisse Johansson said immediately after receiving the prize.
Johansson sat at home when he received a call from the Emma Gala team. He was to be rewarded with a special recognition for decades of work of a lyricist and producer.
– It took a little time before I even realized what Antti was talking about. It felt good.

Johansson picked up the award on the Emma Gala at the Espoo Metro Arena on Saturday.
During his career, Johansson has worked with a variety of artists such as Katri Helena, Sammy Babitzin, Tapani Kansa, Paula Koivuniemi, Kari Tapio and Lea Lave. And the list just goes on.
– I’m really happy, this really crowns everything, Johansson rejoiced at the confession.
Johansson says he has looked at his entire career with the prize differently. As a result of the award, he was also concretized for himself all the work he has done over the decades.

For the best moment of his career, Johansson definitely appoints the Emma Award at the 2025 gala.
– In fact, even small things have been great, experiences. Yes, there are enough great moments, memories, he adds.
Johansson plans to celebrate the Emma Award and the recognition it brings later.
“I have a birthday party in a week, so I think these will be combined in some way,” he says.
Return to Finland
Chrisse Johansson has lived for over 27 years under the Spanish sun. Towards the end of last year, he moved permanently back to Finland.
– Feeling great! Johansson summarizes his mood for a return change.
– Finland is fine, but this has changed so tremendously. I really have to learn things completely again. Sounds crazy, he continues.
One thing surprised him in a special way.
– The biggest surprise has been this digital world. So quite incomprehensible! Not wherever I lived in the digital world flourished in this way. Yes, here we start like the alphabet again, Johansson finally laughs.
