Oska as a street musician
On “Music Austria” she described how to make music on the street: “[Ich habe] So far only made street music in Vienna. Except once on the well -known shopping street Grafton Street in Ireland. There is a street musician every few meters and I just asked one whether I can do it and music. A kind of dream came true. I also don’t know exactly why I really wanted to do that at 18 after the Matura. What really attracted me? To have the courage to just stand there? In any case, this routine gave me self -confidence. “
How does she write songs?
“”[Es] Every few days, song sketches are created on the guitar that I take up. And one or two finished songs are created in the month. There are songs that are as good as finished in 20 minutes, but also those where you come back to it after half a year and then write on. Very often I have melodies and sentences in my head before falling asleep, which I then take up. “
And whose songs do you like to hear?
In addition to Joan Baez and Janis Joplin, she has a preference for Edith Piaf: “I am a big Edith Piaf fan. It is cheeky and profound at the same time. I would not call them a model. She has charisma, you just believe every word, even right now because she had such a hard life. This honestly discussed pain that is not suffering from suffering; I find that authentic. “
