A lot of operation in the Eintracht stadium: When training before the derby, there was a good atmosphere.

A good portion of motivation for the derby: The fans of Eintracht Braunschweig do steam during the final training in the stadium. The team thanks.

A day before the Lower Saxony Sender between Hannover 96 and Eintracht Braunschweig (Sunday, 1.30 p.m.), the fans of the BTSV accompanied their team’s final training atmospherically. While the public unity, which had been placed in the stadium on Hamburger Strasse, around 3,000 supporters heated up the team.

With flags, banners, pyrotechnics and loud list of speech, the fans in the ranks expressed their support. The team spent the special training session under unusually loud roar. Afterwards, the Braunschweig players thanked their supporters and picked up an emotional motivational speech again.

During the game, it will be much calmer in the guest block of the Heinz von Heiden Arena in Hanover. Because the guest supporter was reduced to a 60 percent capacity again, the active fan scene of the Braunschweiger called a boycott. According to the association, only 824 tickets were sold for the guest block.

As an alternative, Eintracht had checked the possibility of a live broadcast of the derby in the stadium, but received no permit. The stadium restaurant “True Love” shows the game on the arena for around 500 people.

The Hanover police department had ordered the fact that fewer guest fans are allowed for the game in early February. In Hanover, a maximum of 2,541 supporters of the Eintracht may be included in the stadium. At this dispute, the police directorate relies on paragraph 11 of the Lower Saxony Police and Regulatory Authority Act, according to which it can “take the necessary measures to ward off dangers”.

Already in the first leg in Braunschweig, only 1,260 instead of 2,100 96 fans were allowed. The Braunschweig fans in the state capital of Lower Saxony had demonstrated against the still partial exclusion.

There they were marched to the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior and Sport, where Daniela Behrens is based. The Interior Minister had significantly supported the decision of the partial exclusion. Last year, she even called for a complete exclusion of guest fans at the derbies. There had also been protest actions on the edge of the Braunschweig Carnival, where she was a guest. Read more about this here.
