The humorous band Kaj from Vöyr won the Melodifestivalen on Saturday night and represents Sweden in the spring Eurovision Song Contest.
Vöyri is a municipality of about 6,000 inhabitants in Ostrobothnia.
“Absolutely amazing”
Vöyr has been very tense for the finals. Finne says that the locals gathered in the center of Vöyr for a high school campus.
More than 400 people were watching the Melodifestivalen finals.
– There’s a stunning atmosphere here. The joy was on the roof when we got the result, Finne rejoices.
– We’ve had a great evening. Of course we encouraged everyone, but most of Kaj. As the vote progressed, the atmosphere became more condensed and condensed.
