As expected, the successful German skeleton women went away empty-handed at the World Championships. Already at halftime all Germans were far off.

The German skeleton women already knew that it will no longer be enough for the medal ranks. After two runs, Susanne Kreher was the best German. Thanks to two good runs, she improved in sixth place with +1.36 seconds behind the winner.

Bos dominates competition

The victory went to Kimberley Bos from the Netherlands. Bos won superior to Mystique RO from the USA (+0.67 seconds) and thus won the first World Cup gold medal for her nation. The Czech bonze secured Anna Fernaedt (+0.75 seconds).

Bos had already led at half -time in front of distant Staedt, which slipped on the bronze. The user was the American Ro, who fought her way from fourth place to two. The third-placed Canadian Hallie Clarke after two runs, who had crowned the youngest world champion in Skeleton sports in Winterberg last year, fell back to seventh place (+1.37 seconds).

Keher’s catch -up is not enough

Susanne Kreher needed a catch-up in the Olympic ice channel from 1932 and 1980. In the third run, she improved in ninth place with a good second behind the leading one. In the last part of the competition, the world champion of 2023 was again improving. Sixth after the catastrophic start was a conciliatory end the day before.

Olympic champion Nise chipped off

Hannah Neise got the worst from the German perspective. The Olympic champion was in 18th place at half -time. Due to her third run, she pushed her 17th place. Other improvements were not possible, which she clearly missed the top ten (+3.31 seconds). So she was even behind Jacqueline Pfeifer, which was at the end of 16 (+2.67 seconds). A disappointment for the 24-year-old, who had already indicated on the first day of the competition.

Jacqueline Pfeifer needs a catch -up.
