According to a research conducted for KindleItalians access their own Devices up to 80 times every hour to check notifications. And for the majority (92%), this contributes to generating a feeling of stress, until the time to go to sleep.

Italians go to sleep on average at 23:26. More than a quarter of them tries to relax with the reading of a book, but continues to be interrupted and distracted by notifications until the moment to fall asleep.

The time dedicated to evening relaxation is not without interruptions, since almost half of the Italians (43%) is still frequently distracted by the incoming notifications. Once in bed, almost three quarters (74%) admit that they fall asleep later than expected because of the control of notifications on their devices.
That’s why disconnection is an increasingly important element for one’s well -being. In fact, “spending at least an hour free from notifications in the evening before going to sleep, gives the mind the time to relax”.
If you use the phone as a wake up, good advice can be to opt for a digital alarm or an echo spot, the intelligent alarm clock with Alexa integration. And, if you read digital, prefer a device without distractions from notifications, with anti -reflective screen and hot light, like Kindle. Also valid as an agenda and “emptied head”: scribe gives a feeling similar to writing on paper. What was done during the day, what went well and what went wrong, what could be done differently next time or what you would like to make the next day. This will help slow down and start the relaxation process.
