On Wednesday, the state visit to the Danish royal couple culminated in a celebration dinner at Finlandia Hall. King Frederik X and Queen Mary hosted dinner.
The invited guests included, among other things, the Finnish and Danish government, the staff of the embassy and the leaders of Finnish companies.
King Frederik X gave the opening speech at the event. The king thanked the presidential pair Alexander Stubb and Suzanne Inses-Stubbia Warm visit and time together.
– Good president Stubb, good guests. Now this 48 -hour visit has been over and the program has been like a Superman, in a positive way, the king said and laughed.
The audience laughed at the cheerful king.
– Lapland was an incredible experience. The biggest hit was a selfie where I and the queen sat in the reindeer. There was a big, white reindeer behind, the king said.
– Alexander and Suzanne, this has been fantastic. Thank you so much.

The king said he had to admit something before the party continues.
– I am known for repeating my jokes. I want to share one of my jokes, which I think is timely. My wife and I are on a candle dinner. Surprisingly, the waiter will come to us, the king said.
– The waiter asks if I am Finnish. I always answer that no, I’m Danish. But now I can say that some of our closest friends are Finnish.
