A man fell into the water last night around a quarter past two at a marina on the Heilig Hartplein in Veghel. A bystander saw the man lying in the water and called the emergency services. He was taken out of the water by the fire brigade and the police.
The man is wrapped in a rescue blanket to keep him warm and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance under police supervision. A diving team came to the Heilig Hartplein but did not have to take action. According to bystanders, the man would have drunk too much. It is unclear how the man is like.
