Hannover 96 has reported the first transfer for the coming season. From Borussia Dortmund II, Franz Roggow comes to the Lower Saxony free of charge in summer, in which the 22 -year -old midfielder signed a contract until 2028. Roggow switched from FC St. Pauli to BVB in 2023 and has played 59 games since then, including several times as captain. There was no use of the professionals.
“Franz was one of the most coveted young players on the market, so we are very happy to have won him for us. His regular position is on the six or eight, it is tactical and technically extremely well trained and has pronounced strategic skills. Football, he brings a strong left foot, a good header game and quality with standards. Of the type can certainly be described as a mentality player. He is already very ripe in his personality for his young age, ”said sports director Marcus Mann.
Roggow said: “I had very good conversations with those responsible who really convinced me. In it I gained the feeling that Hannover 96 is the next step for me. I look forward to the new challenge and of course I keep my fingers crossed for the team in every game – especially now in the derby. ”
Roggow, who grew up northeast of Berlin in Bad Freienwalde, was also a topic at Hertha BSC. “Sky” recently showed him in a video in which you can see him on the way to the office in the Berlin Olympic Park. However, the old lady is currently fighting for relegation and Hanover for promotion, so it is quite possible that Roggow therefore decided on Lower Saxony. In front of him, Hanover had already confirmed the return of Marius Wörl awarded to Arminia Bielefeld for the new season.
