A total of eight women have sued Neil Gaiman for alleged sexual coercion and rape. The nanny, who used to work for him and his ex-wife Amanda Palmer, is also among those who have taken legal action against the authors. Now Gaiman defends himself against the allegations. This time, however, like in 2024, with the help of a contribution on his blog, but in a written request for the dismissal of the lawsuit, which his lawyer’s team went to the Federal Supreme Court in Wisconsin.
Gaiman remains steadfast, talks about “clearly false” accusations
In the official statement (the “Deadline” is available), the writer’s team only responds to the allegations from the former Nanny Scarlett Pavolovich. In her application, she claims that Gaiman repeatedly abused, raped, humiliated and forced sexual acts before the offspring as well as to touch and lick faeces and urine.
Neil Gaiman now wants the legal action against him and his ex-wife, because in his opinion, they are only “a dizziness” and “the highlight of their plan”, “negative publicity against Gaiman, a well-known authors,” in order to collect an “unjust financial severance pay”. Pavolovich demands one million dollars from the “The Sandman” creator.
His legal team also says: “Pavlovich’s allegations are clearly wrong. The sexual scenarios that she deliberately describes in all details are invented. All sexual acts that took place were mutually agreed in every respect. “
Wouldn’t you have happened in New Zealand?
However, Gaiman and his lawyers not only deny, they also focus on geography. This is how it continues: “No matter what the applicant claims, it took place in New Zealand between a New Zealand citizen and a constant residents of New Zealand.” And further: “There is no legal authority to negotiate your lawsuit before a federal court in Wisconsin or in front of other federal courts in the United States.”
It is added: “Pavlovich’s claims are wrong, but it is undisputed that the entire behavior claimed in the lawsuit has taken place in New Zealand, the right place for this complaint, if at all.” And: “The New Zealand law enforcement agencies have thoroughly examined the allegations that the plaintiff raised here, found it unfounded and rejected to file an indictment against Gaiman. There was no credible evidence of misconduct. “
So far, Scarlett Pavolovich has not commented on Gaiman’s attempt to reject the lawsuit.
