The Lycra Company, a leading global company in the development of innovative and sustainable fiber and technology solutions for the global clothing industry, shows a preview of patterns on the performance Days on Stand BW09-10 on the performance of March 5 and 06, 2025. If this eagerly awaited fiber comes onto the market in the course of this year, it will be made from annual renewable industriala from Iowa and helps to reduce the environmental impact of clothing.

The bio -based Lycra® Ecomade fiber will be the worldwide first renewable elastan in industrial quantities. The performance of the bio-based LYCRA® fiber is the same as that of the original fiber Lycra® and is a one-to-one replacement-neither textile substances, nor patterns or processes must be redesigned. The new product consists of 70 % of renewable raw materials and has the potential to reduce the CO2 emissions of the fiber Lycra® by up to 44 %*.

The Lycra Company will also be its cooling and warming performance fibers, Coolmax® and Thermolite® Ecomade fibers, which are 100 % made of textile waste, the Lycra® adaptive fiber, which enables a second-skin-pass form and inclusive-sizing, as well as the Lycra® T400® Ecomade fiber, one Present recyclable polyester stretch fiber, which is made from a combination of recycled and renewable resources.

Dr. Alberto Ceria, Senior Applications Development Professional, will keep an expert talk on “The Lycra® Brand’s Journey Towards Circularity: From Renewable Resources to End-of-Life Solutions,” on March 6th at 10:30 a.m. In this lecture, Ceria will speak about the commitment of the company in the development of sustainable and circulatory -oriented solutions, including the biologically based Lycra® Ecomade fiber. He also reports on the progress in the end of-life initiatives in order to recycle Lycra® fibers-to create positive dynamics into account the European Green Deal package.
