Gene Hackman: Did the pacemaker have a malfunction? Sad theory
Almost a week after the death of Gene Hackmans, Betsy Arakawas and the common dog, the cause of death is puzzled. The 95-year-old actor, his 63-year-old wife and the pet, were found lifeless in her house in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Thursday (February 27, 2025). A gas leak in the property can allegedly be excluded, as investigators said. Carbon monoxide poisoning is therefore the cause of death. But apart from that: no hot trace yet. The theories of investigators range from suicide to murder. According to the authorities, the couples’ corpses have been in their house for more than a week. However, an evaluation of Hackman’s pacemaker has shown that the device stopped on February 17th. The recording of the emergency call from the people who discovered the corpses has again brought no findings.
Autopsy: First results
The autopsy has left many questions open. So far, nothing has indicated external violence – i.e. murder. The time of wild speculation begins. A forensic doctor named Michael Baden has put up a new theory that he presented at “Fox News”, a broadcaster in which it is often distributed, which could be called “interesting theories”.
According to the doctor, Gene Hackman could have suffered cardiac arrest caused by an abnormal pulse frequency. And the device in Hackman’s body reacted to it. Michael Baden: “Gene Hackman’s pollmacher monitors the pulse. If it becomes too low, the pacemaker discharges himself. The result is a cardiac arrhythmia that led to “Gene Hackman collapsed there when cardiac arrest in the storage room.”
Bleeding inside the brain
The doctor also has a theory for the death of Gene Hackman’s wife Betsy Arakawa. Accordingly, Arakawa could have run into the bathroom to get her husband the blood pressure medication. In the hustle and bustle she could have fallen and tore the radiant heater with it. “She could have struck her head on the way down and suffered an inner injury to the brain that is not visible on the outside. Or bleeding inside the brain ”. The only question remains why one of the three Hackman dogs also died.
