The investigating judge in Kortrijk arrested former minister Luc Martens (78) on suspicion of scams, abuse of trust, forgery in writings, money laundering and the use of false documents. There were signals and also new complaints that the former mayor of Roeselare, who previously could not repay around 3.2 million euros in loans to friends and acquaintances, tried to borrow money here and there again.
