The oldest survivor of the Holocaust (113) died: ‘Nazi soldier prevented me from being deported’

As far as is known, Rose Girone, the oldest survivor of the Holocaust, died early this week at the age of 113 in a retirement home in the American state of New York. After she managed to flee Nazi Germany with her child and husband, who was released from Buchenwald, the young family in Shanghai had to move from the Japanese occupier to a hobby in the ghetto.
