On Sunday evening the Oscars will be presented in Los Angeles for the 97th time. Die Oscars, or Academy Awards, is the most important award for films in the United States. Although the musical ‘Emilia Pérez’ – from a production house with Belgian blood – started running with 13 nominations, it seems more and more because of a controversy that another film has the wind in its sails. And there are still several Belgian contenders on the coveted Oscar statue.
